IHSAA Review Committee

Minutes from the September 2, 2004 meeting in Indianapolis

 

PRESENT

Chairman Lee Lonzo, Randy Barrett, Dennis Bunda, Michael Powell, Debb Stevens.

 

HEARINGS

 A hearing was conducted to consider the appeal of Zachary Barker, a student at Restoration Christian High School.  Zachary had been declared to have limited eligibility based on Rule 19-6.2.  A hearing was requested in order to appeal the ruling and obtain full eligibility.  Following the hearing the student’s family and legal counsel for the IHSAA submitted findings of fact.  Having analyzed all of the available data, the IHSAA Review Committee voted to uphold the Commissioner. 

 

A hearing was conducted to consider the appeal of Gais and Aaron Snyder, students at Restoration Christian High School.  Gais and Aaron had been declared to have limited eligibility on the basis of Rule 19-6.2.  A hearing was requested in order to appeal the ruling and obtain full eligibility.  Following the hearing the student’s family and legal counsel for the IHSAA submitted findings of fact.  Having analyzed all of the available data, the IHSAA Review Committee voted to uphold the Commissioner. 

 

A hearing was conducted to consider the appeal of Ryan Ooley, a student at Borden High School.  Ryan had been declared ineligible on the basis of Rule 19-4.  A hearing was requested in order to appeal the ruling and obtain full eligibility.  Following the hearing legal counsel for the student’s family and the IHSAA submitted findings of fact.  Having analyzed all of the available data, the IHSAA Review Committee voted to uphold the Commissioner.
